Hockey Royalty and fan favourite, Bobby Hull, returns to Winnipeg on February 24th for two separate book signings of his book The Golden Jet: A Spectacular Career in Stunning Photographs.
2012 marks the 40th Anniversary of Hull signing his first contract with the Winnipeg Jets at the corner of Portage and Main for a then unprecedented sum of one million dollars. It is only fitting that the first of two book signings be held just beneath the famous corner in Winnipeg Square over the lunch hour. The second event will take place at Canad Inns Polo Park.
The Golden Jet traces the life and career of a true hockey legend from his days as a youngster learning to skate on the Bay of Quinte to his current role as a Blackhawks ambassador. Throughout the book, beautiful photos reflect on Hull's greatest moments, including achieving a team-record of 604 career goals, collecting three Art Ross trophies as the league's leading scorer, earning hockey's top prize - Lord Stanley's Cup and a championship ring in 1961, a behind the scenes look into one of the most prominent hockey families in the sport and his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983.
Fans will be able to purchase copies of The Golden Jet and meet the hockey legend at both these events as well as be able bid on some exceptional hockey memorabilia with all proceeds going to support the Amadeus Steen Foundation.
Bobby Hull Book Signings will take place at:
Winnipeg Square Canad Inns Polo Park

About the Amadeus Steen Foundation
The Amadeus Steen Foundation (ASF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children in Manitoba and beyond by supporting worthwhile initiatives that provide opportunities for children to be healthy, to learn, and to play.
Some examples of our recent work include:
• Funding a $500,000 acute illness infant and child monitoring unit in the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg
• Supporting Osborne House, which empowers women and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse by providing them with a safe and supportive environment and through residential and non-residential programs and services.
• Supporting the North End Hockey Program that provides less fortunate children with the opportunity to play hockey, develop life skills, and make lifetime friends and precious memories
The Foundation operates with a volunteer Board of Directors and a dedicated group of volunteers that raise money through outstanding events, generous donations or sponsorships, and the kind support of athletes, entertainers, and compassionate fan base, as well as caring community members.
