"This ain’t no novel, by God, it’s non-fiction. Real, bleeding, pissing, moaning, crying, pleading, questioning, bone breaking, eye-gouging, ear-biting, down in the dirt fighting for your life kind of music" — Don Henry Ford Jr., Lonestar Music, Austin Texas.
The Sumner Brothers
It is the Sumner Brother's commitment to authenticity that first drew the brothers to country, folk, roots and blues music. Finding inspiration in the style of Johnny Cash, Townes Van Zandt, and Neil Young, The Sumner Brothers have opened for such acts as Sean Hayes (San Francisco), Hillstomp (Portland), The Deep Dark Woods (Saskatoon) and have shared the stage with Vancouver heavies C.R. Avery and Rich Hope.

The Greff Band
The Greff Band was born from the prairies. The brothers have played music together since young boys learning their instruments. They've been involved in many musical projects, however always remaining a cohesive core. Through this they have cultured a musical entity that is their own. Their sound lands somewhere on a sonic map between, classic roots rock and surreal psychedelia, just to the left of 'whatever the fuck comes out'. They continually and unreasonably grasp past their limitations in order to arrange their final product, bringing great excitement and tension to the music. Exploring all sides and perspectives, trying not to bypass any dimensions of what music is. Whether it be intangible inspiration or practical tones. They keep a conscious mind to their art.

Dave Phillips Band
Dave Phillips began playing locally in his hometown of Vancouver as the guitar slinging frontman for his first group The R.A.F. While writing and recording their 2007 EP ‘514 Squadron’ Phillips was drafted to play guitar on Brian Dunn’s ‘Hash Country’ sessions with Mark Browning (Ox) at the helm. This experience was a catalyst for a dramatic shift in Phillips’ own songwriting and musical vision. Once led astray by the two Ontario cowboys, Phillips began to drift further and further into the loosely defined borders of alt-country.
