Commission: Building Management Commission
Position: Event Supervisor (4) *MONETARY COMPENSATION PROVIDED*
Responsible for:
-supervising events
-meeting to discuss and help with the maintenance of the Abdul Ladha Centre.
-dedicate at least 20 hours to duties per term outside of meetings, but the allocation of these hours is very flexible.
Requirements:
-dedication
-a deep sense of responsibility
-easy to contact
-tidiness and organization
-has previous relevant management experience
-pays great attention to detail
-has good communication and interpersonal skills
-preferably lives on or near the UBC campus
-can stay at the ALSSC until 2am (at the latest) to supervise some events
-is at least 19 years of age

Committee: Elections Committee
Positions: Elections Administrator (2), Elections Public Relations, Elections Volunteer Coordinator
Descriptions:
The Science Undergraduate Society is looking to hire a team of administrators for the upcoming Fall Elections.
Position requirements
- strong communication and public speaking skills
- organization and time management
- past experience in a leadership position
- able to work in a team and demonstrate responsibility
*Elections Administrator (EA)*
Responsible for:
- organization of the All-Candidates Meeting
- creating and cutting ballots
- listing, monitoring, and enforcing Election guidelines
- managing the Budget during the election period
- organizing separate, mini-elections for Science One and CSP representatives
*Elections Public Relations Officer (EPRO)*
Responsible for:
- creation and posting of a general elections poster
- creation and management of elections promotional material including, but not limited to, social media, SUS website promotion, and a Distillation piece
- promoting Science One and CSP elections within the gateway programs
Supplemental skills required:
- graphic design
- social media
*Elections Volunteer Coordinator (EVC)*
Responsible for:
- organizing student lists for the voting station
- staffing the elections booth with volunteers at all times
- training volunteers to properly manage the elections booth
- ensuring that elections open and close on time and that all Science students have an equal and fair opportunity to cast ballots
Supplemental skills required:
- team and volunteer management

Positions: Publications Committee members
Description:The Science Undergraduate Society Publications committee is looking for Contributors/ Committee members for the upcoming year. Contributors/Committee members will be charged with producing monthly issues of The 432, the science faculty newsletter. Some responsibilities include providing content for the newsletter (usually at least one article per month). Additional assets include experience with photography, graphic design, and web development.
