See improvisation as you’ve never seen it before. Surprisingly touching, honest and mature, The Life Game shows us a side of improv,and ourselves, that you may not expect. The Life Game Ensemble includes accomplished Improv artists such as Brian Anderson, Jeff Gladstone, Ryan Gladstone, Riel Hahn, Denise Jones,Tom Jones,David Milchard, Veena Sood,Lori Triolo, Christina Sicoli and Tallulah Winkelman.



The Life Game is a show that reminds us all, however ordinary, that we all have an extraordinary life story to tell. This month, Colleen Wheeler will be interviewed on stage and asked about her life. The show takes the bare bones of Colleen's story and then transforms that information, then and there, into a magical piece of improvised theatre using renowned improvisation artist Keith Johnstone’s Life Game technique. Everyone has a story to tell…and in The Life Game those stories can be told.



The opening night of the series, with guest Jerry Wasserman, was a huge success. The Vancouver Courier’s Jo Ledingham, had this to say:

“What a fascinating evening at the theatre(…) Because of the intimate nature of The Life Game, a palpable collegiality between director, performers, amazingly on-­‐the-­‐ball light and sound technicians and the audience develops during the show. (…)Ultimately, the discovery at the end of the evening is this: we’re all in the same boat, we just paddle it differently.(…) I wouldn’t miss it.”



The atmosphere at The Life Game is very casual and inviting. Audience members are encouraged to come early and stay after the show for an informal reception with the guest of honour, Life Game ensemble and the members of the Granville Island Cultural Society.

About Colleen: Colleen is a Vancouver based actor who is very excited to be invited as a guest in the Life Game. This summer, she can be seen as Lady Macbeth (that crazy ass bitch) in Bard on the Beach's production of Macbeth. Oh and in case you care, the two loves of her life are Josh Reynolds and Lillian Reynolds.
