It's time.

Don't miss this year's play readings by young writers ranging in age from 16 to 23. The newly expanded LEAP Playwriting Intensive offers three levels of playwriting--short form, one-act and full-length, and this year we'll be reading them for you over three evenings in the month of March.

From a concentration camp to a high school, from the beginning of time to a dystopian future, this year's Level 1 class will take you everywhere. Ten short plays will be read on March 4 at 7 pm in the Arts Club's Revue Theatre. Come hear the work of:

Seamus Fera,

Isaac Li

Simon Sierra

Roy Lou

Penny Zhang

Yvy Truon

Juliet Choi

Moses Caliboso

Kane Tone

Richard Ly

A young woman drags an unwilling friend into a road trip to anywhere but here. A troubled scientist gets pulled into a sinister plot. Two super-fans kidnap their idol. The one-act plays written by the Level 2 class introduce the world to people with dark secrets, damaged lives, and twisted friendships. Five one-acts will be read in excerpt in the Revue Theatre on March 11 at 7 pm. Plays by:

Tara Ciric

Sonia Gumuchian

Keegan Flick-Parker

Jason Lam

Claire McGillivraySomeone is giving notes written in blood to young women at a high school. Everyone is a suspect, including the teachers. What's happening under all the suspicion? Who's telling the truth? In Scott Button's full-length play, The Hunger Room, dark urges, secret lusts, and forbidden longings writhe underneath the rules, policies and protocols of a modern day high school. The reading takes place on Sunday, March 25 at 7 pm on the Arts Club's Mainstage.

And you won't want to miss this fantastic acting company bring these plays to life.
