The Vogue Theatre will come alive with a unique and exquisite fusion of modern folk and orchestral sounds.
Maria in the Shower is Vancouver's legendary folk/cabaret quartet - storytellers you will find around Canada at festivals, concert halls, in the street… or with an orchestra!
The Plastic Acid Rock Orchestra is a new breed of local, purely Canadian orchestra. Conductor Bryan Deans and this 43 piece band bring you an epic symphonic world designed to cut down barriers between musical genres, premiere new Canadian compositions (while enlivening the old), and bring orchestral music to a wide and diverse audience.
The two-act show will intertwine the sounds of these two acts: cutting-edge instrumental orchestral music from Plastic Acid, contemporary folk and swing from Maria in the Shower, and dynamic collaborations between the two groups. Get ready to move in ways an orchestra has never moved you before!
