Spherical music returns to bring you an evening of sounds falling into themselves to create a musical vortex of disconnected genres and exciting spiels. From awe-inspiringly good modern classical, to gospel and folksongs via England to skewed rock n’country brilliance and songs about the liquor habits of horses, the night of your lives is going to take place in the beautiful Prophouse café on venables, spitting distance from commercial drive.First up is Escucha performing Trio for Flute, Piano, and Cello by Martinu (featuring Robyn Jacob, who will also be playing Henry Cowell’s Six Ings for piano). Then Rowan Coupland, performing potentially his last gig on Canadian soil, stomping around singing acapella folksongs and spirituals, and demonstrating admirably deft fingerpicking to skew songs out from order to disorder.

Finally, the Stolen Organ Family Band, predominantly Calgarians who are stealing the hearts of Vancouverites at gunpoint. Boy/girl vocal duo in the best traditions of bank heists a bonnie and clyde for the new millennium, backed by the tightest rocknroll freak-country backing this side of the moon.
