Live at the Rickshaw and ABORT Magazine present DJ MUGGS with guests:
SNAK THE RIPPER and D-REC
FRIENDS WITH THE HELP
and DJs K-REC
and NICKY NINEFINGERS
DJ MUGGS, known through-out the world as the DJ & producer for CYPRESS HILL has a long track record as not only a champion DJ but as someone who has produced music that has sold over 20 million units! He is also one of the few DJ’s to transcend several eras and styles and still maintain a very successful and relevant career. This path was a long-time in the making.
DJ MUGGS has produced and remixed music for FunkDoobiest, House of Pain, Krs-one, Ice Cube, Everlast, Eminem, MC Eiht, Roni Size, The Beastie Boys and more.
FRIENDS WITH THE HELP are Low Lux, Young Nige, and DJ K-Rec. Most
recently, the Vancouver hip-hop trio pool styles on "Confidence": a 14
track original album following hot on the heels of a celebrated debut
mixtape (self-titled). The new project, available online as of
Valentines Day, 2012, features exclusive production by K-Rec alongside
a virtual mood garden of thoughts and feelings couched in the rhymes
of Low Lux the rap psychologist and his disgraced half-brother Young
Nige. Outside their work in the studio, FWTH are known to throw Dirty
Rap Parties, make music videos, rock stages, and restore the feeling.
Expect more bangers, videos, albums, parties, and good times with the
group in the months to follow - and speaking of following, follow the
fellas on twitter @friendswthehelp @low_lux & @djkrec
SNAK THE RIPPER raps with a voice as raw and honest as his material. In just three years, Snak has gone from rock-bottom anonymous, to internet superhero.
