Artwork and Jewelry by Shandy Bearman. Opening Reception Friday Feb 24th 7:30pm. Okay everyone, we had a change-up to our featured artist this Friday, February 24th for our art show. A little bit about the artist...Shandy Bearman grew up in the dry and dusty Okanagan Valley but migrated to Vancouver Island where she received her degree in visual arts. She now calls Vancouver home. Shandy's work is influenced by her love of all things strange, dark and decayed but is also infused with feminine sweetness. She is drawn to the decrepit, ugly and odd and picks out threads of elegance found there.
