Be part of this inaugural fundraising challenge and give back to the kids in your community!

All we ask is for your energy and commitment in supporting our 2011-12 subsidized ticket program, where youth from Toronto’s priority neighbourhoods see exceptional professional theatre for the first time and FREE of charge. You'll ensure a new generation of inner-city kids experience the magic and power of Shakespeare!!!

YOUR DONATION REPRESENTS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A DISADVANTAGED YOUTH IN YOUR COMMUNITY

In the words of Shakespeare, “Action is eloquence.” The greatest eloquence is your action now.

THE SHAKESPEARE CHALLENGE raises funds to bring Toronto youth in priority neighbourhoods to see live performances of Shakespeare’s plays. In this way, Shakespeare in Action hopes to foster literacy, enhance creativity and promote the speech arts in neighbourhoods where it matters most.

Shakespeare: the stories, the characters, the language, and the poetry are so wonderfully relevant for today’s youth; making professional performances accessible can inspire young people to reach beyond the limits of their environment.
