About the Bands:
Boys Who Say No
Toronto indie-rockers Boys Who Say No have been building buzz with their playfully unpredictable brand of quirky party pop. Their first full length album "Contingencies" will be released on February 24th and it has been long anticipated by both the band and fans alike. Boys Who Say No blast out a frenetic live show that has been described as sounding “something between Will Sheff (Okkervil River) and early urgent Talking Heads.” (FAZER Magazine) The band describes their upcoming Unsigned performance “like pop music falling down the stairs, into a pool of beer that is inhabited by all of your friends”.

The Paint Movement
The Paint Movement's latest full length album was produced and mixed by David Newfeld (Broken Social Scene, Apostle of Hustle). Throughout this entire time the band decided not to play any shows and just focus entirely on writing the music. The band returned to live music with two sold-out shows at The Dakota Tavern and followed that with a national tour with friends Yukon Blonde. The 6 piece band mixes elements of rock, pop and soul and melds them into unique songs which at times feature male vocals, at others female vocals, and a lot of the time you hear group chants. http://www.myspace.com/thepaintmovement
