We know you’re beautiful…but are you Oh So Beautiful?

BLUEBLACKmusic™ is looking for charismatic co-hosts and approximately twelve (12) singers/musicians/bands to be featured in our 2012 Oh So Beautiful™ productions. To audition, visit www.OhSoBeautiful.tk, fill out a registration form on the website, and come out to the Gladstone Hotel Melody Bar on Wednesday, February 22, at 6PM. Skilled, passionate and hardworking musicians and music lovers, we welcome you with open arms!

The Open Audition will be modeled after the Idol and Got Talent television series, taking place before a live audience and our panel of music and entertainment professionals. Bring something musical to cheer on your favourite acts and, in a worst-case scenario, maybe even heckle others. (Use a kazoo, party blower, horn, harmonica, whistle, shaker, tambourine, etc. Just keep it friendly and in tune).

Our Oh So Beautiful™ Open Audition Panelists

Orin Isaacs: Juno award wining, Gold & Platinum selling record producer and world-class bassist. Orin has been the Musical Director for every major award show in Canada, as well as the Musical Director and Bassist on Canadian Idol, Canada Sings, & Canada’s Got Talent.

Bruce Chapman: Manager at Toronto's Bloor St. Long and McQuade, Canada's largest retail music store. Bruce has also enjoyed success as a musician, with numerous recording, writing and television appearance credits.

Selena Evangeline

World-class singer/songwriter Selena Evangeline is a talented independent musician, with many songs placed on radio and television. Recently, Selena was selected by celebrity judges Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield and Sheila E. as the winner of the Avon Voices global talent competition.



AHI

As founder, producer and voice of BLUEBLACKmusic™, AHI created and produced Oh So Beautiful™ in response to his own experiences as a singer/songwriter. In his efforts to find viable work where the musician is valued rather than taken for granted, AHI aims to set the record straight by striving to put the power of performance back into the hands of the musicians. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh So Beautiful™ was inspired by the late great prolific soul singer Curtis Mayfield, one of the first performers to take control of his music by setting up his own record label and production team to ensure the artistic integrity of his music. As such, this event will be held in association with the Gladstone Hotel's annual Black History Month programming.
