O is for opera and if you've never been (or even if you have) you won't want to miss this fantastic opportunity to check out Toronto Opera Repertoire's presentation of "The Merry Widow" on Saturday, February 25th, 7:30 pm, at the Bickford Centre, 777 Bloor Street West, just west of Christie Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line! We've had a meetup here before, so I can tell you from experience that this venue is as unpretentious as can be, so leave your top hats, tiaras, and tails at home (or not...your call!) but DO bring your expectations of a great performance and night out! Tickets for the performance are $25 regular, and $15 for seniors and students. (Incidentally, "The Merry Widow" is presented in English, so no reading of surtitles required!)

As mentioned above, the Bickford Centre is just west of Christie station so it's super easy to get to, and there is parking in the area as well. I'll be there early to try and hold a block of seats for us, so just come on in and look for the guy with a whole row of seats to himself! Alternatively, you can look at my profile pic... ;)

Afterwards, for anyone who's interested, we can head out to one of the many local watering holes near the Bickford Centre for some Saturday night socializing and debrief on how everyone enjoyed the show! (just between you and me this is actually falling on my birthday weekend so fun is definitely on the agenda!)
