OUR MISSION: To provide and promote a sustainable community festival in the celebration of barbequed pork and live Blues and Roots music in Stratford.
OUR GOALS:
• To promote and increase local, regional, national, and international tourism to Stratford
• To highlight Ontario's Pork Capital, Stratford, by cultivating the traditional affiliation between barbecued pork and live blues music
• To promote live music utilizing local and internationally renowned artists
• To feature promising local youth musicians/bands
• To keep blues music and its culture alive
• To provide opportunity for and promote the benefits of volunteerism
• To educate volunteers at a high level of event management, to educate volunteers and local youth in the production and technical requirements of a professionally executed event, and to improve excellence in hospitality and service skills for all volunteers
