LEAH TYSSE invites you to a night of genre bending blues, soul, and R&B. She just released her second album of mostly originals which has been picked up by Sony Entertainment and will be singing selections from that as well as her spin on some often requested tunes.
LEAH rotates bandmates from pals of hers who take pay cuts to play with her when they're not on tour with high profile bands like Rihanna, will-i-am, and Prince as well as the best local session players so you never get the same ol same old but you always get an amazing night of genre breaking blues from Leah, a Billboard Music Award R&B and Blues Best Song of the Year recipient ("You Don't Scare Me"), finalist at International Blues Challenge in Memphis, winner Best Band contest that lead to a Main Stage performance at Monterey Blues Festival, and long time featured soloist who's gone to China and back with the Glide Memorial Church Choir.
This is your chance to see this rising star backed by an amazing band at the oldest bar in The City with no cover charge and cheap drinks.
(Your next chance is at Yoshi's-SF with a nine piece band and a "higher" ticket price!)
The LEAH TYSSE BAND for this occasion is:
MIKE BLANKENSHIP - keyboard/key bass (Sheila E, Lauryn Hill, Ledisi, Lyrics Born, Tony!Toni!Tone!, Howard Hewett, Kirk Whalum, co-instructor at San Francisco State University Gospel Choir)
