We're still riding high from the last F*CK YEAH party. (Cue big round of applause for Edison, U9lift, and Slayers Club!) To keep up the live electronic theme, we're pulling in Secret Sidewalk for the February edition. Synths, keys, electronics, drums, and sax combine to bring you something totally organic, at times jazzy, and definitely groovin! Originally started as a live electronic beat band by Mike Boo,Alex “Pu22l3” Abalos,& Asonic Garcia, the band organically transformed into a bay area Voltron when joined with the amazing musicianship and likeminded experimentation of saxophonist Marcus Stephens, and drummer Mike Reed. This formed the Secret Sidewalk Quintet which has been hitting venues from the Bay to LA with their own brand of avant garde,organic electronic “dirt wave” music, weaving compositions with improvisation until it all becomes a seamless big and LOUD free form vibrational set.A SSW Quintet album is in the works, as well as solo and side collab projects to follow. Expect much audio and visual to come from this budding collective.

What is now known as Slayers Club began as a weekly party in San Francisco’s Mission District in 2008 and quickly got out of hand. With deep roots in bass music, this collaborative collective of DJs, vocalists, VJs and all-around creative types throws a hell of a party and would love to meet you.
