In San Francisco on the last Friday of each month, thousands of bike enthusiasts take to the streets in a Critical Mass ride as a mobile protest and celebration of our city streets on bicycles, skates, unicycles or whatever rolls by people power. Before the ride, the participants gather at Justin Herman Plaza, by the beginning of Market St. and Embarcadero. A number of Critical Mass riders (usually 5 to 10) are also World Naked Bike Ride members and they have been doing Critical Mass nude all summer to promote WNBR and its protest on our nation's oil dependency. This is the second ride of the year, on the last Friday of the second month of the newd year. That's right......

IT'S THE Fe- BARE - U - WEARY Little Ol' Bike Ride , WNBR STYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For Critical Mass and WNBR riders, it's not just February, it's Fe- BARE - U - WEARY. OK, it will be warmer and sunnier in the daytime, so it will be warmer to ride WNBR style in the evening. And if it is cold, well, here's that chance to use up all that clear bubble wrap and make a see thru riding outfit or get a sheer body stocking.

The ride starts gathering at Justin Herman Plaza between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. It usually starts off just after 6 and can last as long as there are enough riders to keep a critical mass. Riders may choose to ride as long as they wish, as there are really no rules in the mass.
