The fourth installment of Melodies + Memories, with Mighty Atom (The Disablists). This month we have a guest who has won the UK DMC Championships 4 times, and won the World Vice Championship in 2006. Oli is a great technical DJ who can play a variety of genres, tempos with flare and amazing scratch routines. He has played all over the world, including many festivals such as Bestival to name but a few!
His choice will reflect his depth and knowledge as a record collector and scratch DJ.
Melodies + Memories is a musical concept where invited
promoters, DJ's, musicians and other special guests are invited to play their most influential or first vinyl album they bought and share it with us.
The idea is to listen to every song on the album and absorb
the album. Music these days, especially albums are not
listened to all the way through, nor are they listened to
without any distractions.
This is also a night to praise, explore and play the tangible
collectible format of vinyl records, which never went away.
We will cherish the artwork, warm crackly sound, and find out
each persons memories to their special melodies.
