Petition to ban the use of highly toxic GLORICIDE on Sunshine Coast

To Sunshine Coast Regional Councillors and EPA,

We demand that the highly toxic, chemical cocktail, Gloricide be banned from use on all Sunshine Coast coastal ecosystems immidiately.

Gloricide has had no testing and contains carcinogenic and endocrine distrupting chemicals such as 2,4-D that was a constituent of agent orange. Some scientists suggest this combanation could be worse than agent orange! No body knows.

Gloricide is a dangerous experimental combanation of chemicals.

It has been used widely on coastal ecosystems from Caloundra to Noosa, targeting several weed species. Research suggests that it is ineffective at irradicating these specific weeds.

Gloricide is very dangerous to the health of all animals especially frogs who absorb he chemical through their skin.

Council has created this toxic chemical cocktail without testing and is using it without care or caution.

We are breathing in this toxic chemical when we go to the park and swimming in it when it leaches out through the dunes into the ocean!

Take action now to save our wildlife and ensure the health of the community.
