RAMBLE ON - Extempore.
The event is a chance for one & all to redeem oneself for a minute, immersing in the rubric of unparagonned fun & frolic. If you think you have it in you to walk the talk, then this extempore awaits you.

Rules:
Round 1 - Elimination:
-) Each speaker will get to choose a topic at random, prepare on that topic for 30 seconds and speak for 60 seconds.
-) A total of 6 speakers will be selected for the next round.
Round 2 - Semi - Finals (Picture This):
-) Each speaker will be shown a particular picture to start with, and during the course of his/her speech, new pictures will be shown to him/her which he/she would have to incorporate in the speech. A total time of 90 seconds would be given per speaker.
-) A total of 4 speakers would be selected for the next round.
Round 3 - Finals (Air Crash):
-) Each speaker will be assigned a celebrity character, and the speaker has to step into the celebrity's shoes and convince the judge & audience that he should be given the only Parachute available on the crashing plane.
-) The character would be given to the speaker at the Judge's discretion, and will be allowed to prepare for 60 seconds, and thereafter speak for 90 seconds.
Judging Criterion:
-) Participants will be judged on their humor, wit, flow of thought and correlation to the topic, word, character as the case may be.
-) The use of abusive language and racist remarks is not permitted and would result in termination of participation.

FOURTH ESTATE(Journalism Event).
The Fourth Estate is to be a written event, testing the journalistic skills of the participants. The event is to be divided into 2 rounds.

Round One:
-) This round will be based on Photojournalism and General Knowledge.
-) Participants will be given 10 pictures based any news making event that took place last year.
-) After choosing two out of the ten pictures at random, the participant will then be expected to write a news report based on the picture.
-) The participant is not expected to be factually correct, however his/her piece should be related to the picture chosen.
-) Marks will be given on the structure, language, grammar and the engaging nature of the piece.
-) Participants are also required to give a caption to the picture.
-) Along with the essay, participants are expected to answer a short general knowledge questionnaire containing important news-making events.
Word Limit: 200 to 300 words.
Duration: 2 hours
Round Two:
-) This round will be based on news reporting.
-) The top 10 participants from round two will be chosen for this round.
-) Participants will be giving a choice of 2 news clips: One serious and one lighthearted.
-) The clips will be shown twice to each participant and will not contain any audio.
-) The participant may choose between either clip and he/she will be expected to narrate a news report based on the clip.
-) Speaking Time: 5 minutes
-) Marks will be given on the basis of body language, use of words and clarity of speech.
-) Preparation Time: 30 minutes

-) The news reports and the feature articles are to be handwritten.
-) Number of people per team: One.

Round I (Written Elimination):
You will be provided with a budget, a set of products you can choose from, and certain other information regarding your respective products. Your job is to sell the product to the best of your ability on paper. Based on this, teams will be shortlisted for the next round.

Round II (Final round with two sub-rounds):
-) The first round of the final will be in the form of a paper presentation. The shortlisted competitors will be returned their respective papers and will be asked to present them, following which questions from other teams will be entertained which will be taken into consideration during evaluation by the judge.

Rules:
-) Duration: 2 days
-) Rounds: Eliminations + Quarters + Semi Finals + Finals
-) Topics will be given on the spot. In the Elimination Round, one member of each team will argue the affirmative, and the other will argue the negative. -) Each speaker will receive 3 minutes to speak in the Elimination Round.
-) Top 8 Teams will be selected for Quarter Finals.
-) Based on the ranking, these 8 teams will be pitted against each other in a tournament format.
-) The rounds in the tournament format will be based on different themes.
-) The winning team, in the tournament format, will proceed further, while the losing team will get eliminated.
-) This process will continue, till there are two teams remaining, amongst whom the final victor will be decided.
