Legal events at Symbhav”12 reminisce the galactic battles between the legal titans. Here the battles are fought with brains and not blood, wits and not weapons, with court craft and not tactical prudence! Unique feature of Legal Events ‘12

The unique feature of the legal events is to stay true to the object of the Event, this year we have decided to integrate all the three events. To stimulate the real life scenario, we have integrated all the three events by basing it on a common set of facts.

1.FARMAIYE HUZOOR(CLIENT COUNSELING)

Every battle starts with the preparation. Even here, the battle will start with the preparation of the cause of action. The system depicts an arrangement of a client and an attorney representing, the legal rigmarole .The Attorney should aim at applying the pertinent legislations. Reaching possible solutions – legal and non-legal.

2.BAATON BAATON MEIN (NEGOTIATION)

Baton baton mein is a negotiation event which represents the talks prior to the main courtroom battle and is aimed at reaching an agreement, eliminating convoluted procedure, beyond the periphery of the Court Room. Settle a legal dispute, and if the team manages to strike a deal, it grabs the prize money.

3.EXTEMPORE MOOT COURT- TAREEKH PE TAREEKH

Tareekh pe tareekh is the Mahabharat of the legal arena. The students are expected to battle it out before eminent judges using their superior legal knowledge and wits. The facts of the case, and other material requisite, shall be advanced to the teams, a day before. Exhaustive research within the due time-frame with adequate usage of wits before the eminent jurists is the key to success. Written submission is eliminated.(Though, discretionary)Court proceedings run, as in a usual court room.

RULES :

Teams

i) Each Team shall consist of two members.

ii) The team can participate in all the three legal events or any of them.

iii) Only those teams that register and participate for all the three legal events would be eligible for the Overall Best Legal Event team.

Registration

i) All Participants are requested to carry their COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY IDENTITYCARD at the time of Registration as well as at all times in the Campus.

ii) The registration for the students of Symbiosis Law School will be on the spot and on the discretion of the Event Heads of the legal events.

iii) The registration for the students of Symbiosis Law School will be on the spo and on the discretion of the Event Heads of the legal events.

1. The “Best Team” for the overall legal events will be decided on the basis of the score of the “Preliminary Rounds”.

2. If in any legal event, the team which consists of Symbiosis Law School students wins the prize then they will receive only the half cash prize.

3. The above mentioned Legal Events will have their respective rules and regulations.

4. The decision of the Organizers shall be final on any matter including circumstances not envisaged in the rules and regulations of the competitions.
