About The Show

Friday evenings take on a whole new groove with Art After 5, The Philadelphia Museum of Art's unique blend of art and entertainment in the Great Stair Hall. With an eclectic mix of internationally recognized and emerging artists performing every week, it’s a stylish and unique way to start the weekend. "I love making music in such a grand alternative space to the regular music venue and night club scene," says Wisnia. "It makes the show feel much more unexpected and yet the setting makes complete sense. The space is immersed in culture, you are surrounded by history, and you are presented with an audience that is enthusiastic about the arts. And performing in the Great Stair Hall is a breathtaking experience." After a well-received debut at the concert series in 2010, Philadelphia's own Avi Wisnia returns to the art museum on Friday, February 24 complete with new songs and special guest instrumentalists from the Philly music scene. "I am honored to have been invited back to participate in the 2012 series, and we are planning a very special performance for February."
