Glen was one of the most visible international Country stars when he hosted his own network television show for 3 years. The Goodtime Hour featured many of the top musical guests of the time including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Neil Diamond. It attracted weekly global audiences of 50 million.
He has 9 Grammy Awards including this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award and won 4 in 1967 alone - the first artist to win the Country and Pop categories in the same year - for Gentle on My Mind and By The Time I Get To Phoenix, which along with the Most Played Song of the Millenium, Wichita Lineman, was enshrined in the Grammy Hall of Fame. Rhinestone Cowboy is an Academy of Country Music Song of the Year.

Glen was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005. He has received Country Music Association Entertainer & Male Vocalist of the Year awards, multiple Academy of Country Music trophies including the prestigious Pioneer Award and a Gospel Music Association Dove Award.
