CLOWN & ACTING
Ira views clown and acting as a dynamic interaction, the quantum essence of performance. He assists any actor (professional, veteran, or novice) to re-start a process of awakening within their own body, intellect, consciousness and creative play.
In some very practical ways The Seidenstein Method is like the yoga of acting.
THE SEIDENSTEIN METHOD
The Seidenstein Method is organic and logical. It incorporates a breadth of ideas, techniques and cultural inheritance that contemporary theatre possesses. The approach is not dogmatic and sees the work as part of the continuum from Stanislavski, Copeau, Barba as well as directly tapping the spirit of Eastern practices.
Ira's exercises leave space for an actor to use any of their previous trainings or experience.
THE FOUR ARTICULATIONS
"The Four Articulations" is both a workshop and a template for actors, directors, and performance companies to have a set of modules that will directly release one's creativity for generating movement, theatre, text and ensemble work.
"The Four Articulations" are 1) Body; 2) Space; 3) Time; 4) Time-Space Continuum.
