For the third in its Empty Space Series, Third Wall Theatre will celebrate the life and work of Vaclav Havel, the Czech poet, playwright, former president and humanitarian. Artistic Director James Richardson will join resident acting company members Mary Ellis & Simon Bradshaw in a dramatic reading of Audience and Unveiling, two of Havel’s one-act plays as well as a selection of his other writings. Havel was a revolutionary and a freedom-fighter and his desire for peace and democracy in the former Czechoslovakia is clearly present in his satirical and political writing.
As always the Empty Space Series will be held at Glebe-St. James United Church at 650 Lyon Street South (corner of First Avenue). This event will be one-night-only on Wednesday, February 22nd at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 and are available online at www.thirdwall.com or by phone at 613 236 1425.
