The Sean Duhaime Trio was formed in Fall 2009. The band is an Ottawa-based group who performs Jazz, Fusion and Funk. They perform Sean's compositions and covers that Sean arranged such as The Beatles and Vince Rimbach. In May 2011, Sean formed a new jazz fusion trio with Laura Greenberg (Deja Vu Acoustic, Old Whiskey Road, Orienteers) on bass and Jansen Richard (JW Jones, Pia Ashley, Big Us) on drums. Laura and Jansen have been playing together since they were teenagers. They mostly perform rock, alternative and folk, so jazz was new ground for them, they enjoyed the challenge and have given jazz new life. Saxophonist, Sam Cousineau (NACJB and OJJB) will be a special guest for this band. He's only 16 years old with lots of chops.
If you haven't been to the Shanghai Restaurant before, you should try it. It's a Chinese restaurant in China Town. The food is fantastic! Try the chicken Pad Thai, it's so good! :P
