Hello wonderful femmes! Since our first attempt at this was partly thwarted by wintry weather, we're having another go. Our current book of choice is "What You Really Really Want" by Jaclyn Friedman. It's all about figuring out your sexual blocks and fantasies, and getting more vocal and enthusiastic about your yeses and your nos. It's an exploration of sexuality within yourself and the world around you.

Come listen as people take turns reading aloud (no obligation to read if you don't want to) and partake in little self-exploratory exercises (ex: list 10 things you learned about sexuality in school/from religion). The exercises offer good personal insight, as well as really great open conversation topics too. Feel free to drop in even if you can't make it for the whole event, it's sure to be a good time. Please remember to bring a notebook and pen for the written exercises, and you won't be asked to share anything you're not comfortable with sharing.

Luna and I both have copies of the book, but I highly recommend buying one of your own. The Ottawa public library also has 4 copies, however there is a waiting list. (I'll be bringing my own copy to the Femme Tea Party on February 4th for those who would like to see it.)
