Our LGBT Community Center is losing important support services to the HIV/AIDS Community due to lack of funding and we need YOUR voice to be heard to prevent this from happening.

The support group for Newly HIV Diagnosed is scheduled to end at the end of April 2012. After the end of April there won't be any free support groups available at The Center. We already have lost the support group for Long Term Survivors last year. These two support groups are run by Center CARE Wellness at the LGBT Community Center. Could you imagine if you, your partner or a friend needed a support group on HIV issues and The Center wouldn't be able to help you?

Let YOUR voice and concern be heard at the next Community Forum. Lets come together to talk about NOT ending these services to our Community until we End AIDS! If you can't be present at the forum, please let your voice be heard by sending an email ASAP to Andres Hoyos, Director of Center CARE Wellness.

This forum will bring together Community leaders, organizations advocates, and people living with HIV/AIDS to discuss the commitment to end AIDS in New York City. In light of the challenges & changes in the HIV/AIDS epidemic, we need to promote a common vision to respond to the health needs of our Community.

I hope you find the time in your busy schedule to come to this community forum and express your opinion and concerns. Please feel free to invite other people who are interested in this important issue. We need our LGBT Community Center to keep the doors open to serve the HIV/AIDS Community in a time of need of support.
