In February 2004, William Henry Young, Jr. was admitted into Robert Wood Johnson and diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He spent his 34th birthday in the hospital. After unsuccessfully trying to locate a Bone Marrow Donor match, William moved to Florida to receive radical chemotherapy treatments to prepare him for a stem cell transplantation. On June 1, 2005, William lost his battle to AML at 35 years old. William is an inspiration to many due his strength and courage he exemplified during his fight against Leukemia. He never lost hope in finding a cure to this deadly disease and we, his family and friends, will continue the good fight until we find a cure.
