Few other places in the world come close to the rugged beauty of Arunachal Pradesh. The Eastern Himalayas, which encircle this state, are a mystery even to the most hardcore trekkers. To add to the allure, many trek routes pass trough dense forests teeming with exotic species of flowers, birds and insects.
Our trek traces the historic route taken by Lt. Col. F. M. Bailey, a British officer who was commissioned to survey the Arunachal – Tibet border in 1911. We commence the trek from Thambang village, in the heartland of Monpa country, steadily climbing up to Poshing La from where we get grand vistas of Gorichen and Kangto, the highest peak in Arunachal. From here the route continues further to Mago and onto Jung , which is on the road to Tawang, the epicenter of Buddhism in Arunachal which boasts of the largest Buddhist monastery in India. So walk with us to enjoy all the ingredients this trek offers – adventure, scenic beauty, solitude and nature.
