Ancestor Healing Ritual

The Ancestralization ritual is a process of helping our ancestors who may be stuck in between realms to become healthy ancestors who we can call on for support in our lives. This can be a very tranformative ritual, not only for your ancestors but also for you in your daily life. It’s said that what our ancestors feel we feel. So if they’re in a place of confusion, feeling lost or stuck, that potentially directly affects your life. The positive aspect being that you might feel more clarity about your life, direction and purpose as a result of this healing ritual. You may feel more uplifted in general after going through this process.
This is a 3 day ritual, Friday through Sunday. There will be an all night vigil the first night. We’ll gather around the fire to support the ancestors’ transition. We will be moving through the weekend as community, supporting each other, supporting our ancestors as community..
Ancestralizations of different types are present in cultures all over the world. Some practices are still intact in various traditions. Many have been forgotten over time. This has resulted in a disconnection from the ancestors and from feeling their support in our lives.
This ritual was introduced into our culture by Malidoma Some (Dagara Elder, West African Shaman) and seems very important for the times that we’re living in. As we’ve gone generations, typically, without any sort of ceremony or ritual to help our loved ones make the transition completely from this world to the other world.
We are looking forward to a really great gathering of people. The ancestors have been requesting this ritual in a very pronounced way and this is our way of telling them, we say yes. We say yes collectively and as community. They will hear this, no doubt, as a sign of the times changing in a very healthy way.. Come join us!
We will gather at the incredibly beautiful Lake Sonoma in Northern California. There seem to be ancestors waiting there already for us, eager for this ritual. As we continue to clear energy in our connection to the ancestors, their messages seem to get louder. Feel into your heart and notice if they’re requesting your presence in April. Cost of camping is included in this price. You’ll need to come with your personal camping gear (tent..) and food for yourself for the weekend. There’s a grill available at our group campsite. We’ve reserved a private group campsite for our weekend together.

the makings for an ancestor shrine (photos of your ancestors that can be outside, may be laminated), red cloth, candles that are in glass containers, any relics or pieces that feel like they want to be a part of the ancestor shrine
offerings for your ancestors (flowers, food, liquor, honey, wine, milk, tea, coffee, etc.)

any other pieces we may have forgotten that you know will help you to feel at ease with the elements

Take time before we gather in April to research your ancestors. Ask stories in your family. See if you can trace your lineage. There can be real magic that comes through this process! Enjoy the journey..
Sending your deposit sooner than later is ideal, to reserve your spot. And deposits are due by June 1st, 2012.
