We won't go on about how our night is completely different to anything you've ever seen before, it wont be. Its not an amazing out of this world experience that will blow your mind. It will simply be 300 sound individuals in a dark room having a good time with some amazing tunes. Because that's we all like.

Alexis Raphael continues to break the mould within the UK dance scene, with 2011 being a key year. The smooth sounds of his first two releases gave us a glimpse of his ability to create music with individuality, imagination, punch and funk, and a flurry of bookings including Cyprus, Ibiza, Mexico, Dominican Republic and all over the UK have followed.

Originally a talented pianist, North Londoner Alexis has spent most of his life submerged in electronic music, with a long stint on various pirate radio stations, and gigs in every notable club and warehouse space in London. Through his own Crèche parties, Alexis has also showcased a new wave of dance music to the capital.

‘Spaceship’, Alexis’ first release, dropped on Jamie Jones’ and Lee Foss’ Hot Waves imprint in Spring 2011 and was the top selling tune on the highly acclaimed compilation. Next, Alexis carved out one of this Summer’s anthems – ‘Kitchens and Bedrooms’. The track injected soul across dance floors worldwide and with remixes from peers Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed, was undoubtedly one of the standout debut EPs of 2011.

With support coming from the likes of Jamie Jones, Soul Clap, Jozif, Manik, Droog, Robert James, Solomun, James Teej, Tim Green, Chris Lattner, Julien Chaptal, Xpress 2, Jimpster, System of Survival, Laura Jones, Huxley and Anthony Collins, it’s clear that Alexis has a deep-rooted understanding of what works on the dance floor.

In the coming months, Alexis has a full Hot Creations EP due, a Lower East EP and a remix of a track featured on the forthcoming Visionquest Fabric album. It’s clear that his devotion to music and vibrant personality will ensure that he’ll continue to be a firm favorite not only on the dance floor but also amongst promoters, venues and his fellow DJs across the globe.

Fresh faced duo No Artificial Colours have been a dominant force on London’s underground house music scene ever since they teamed up several years ago, bringing their soulful, groove driven sound to virtually every notable club in the capital, including Ministry Of Sound, matter, Brixton Academy, Koko, Egg and Cable, and festivals including Glastonbury and SW4.

AKA Ryan Ellis (23) and Lewis Wright (26), the boys met when they kept finding themselves booked at the same gigs, and when they often got asked by promoters if they could play back-to-back, the pairing made perfect sense. They soon discovered a shared taste not just in musical style but also in making their sets varied and frenzied. “It’s taken a few years” says Lewis “but we’ve really found our sound now. Although the underlining feel is deep, groovy, hypnotic house, we always elaborate by incorporating acapellas, loops, sound shots and one hits.”

In terms of production, their work has quickly been noticed by the biggest names in the industry. No Artificial Colours’ debut EP, ’Welcome To The Jungle’, dropped in Spring 2011, and dance floor killer ‘Detroit Baby What’ gained instant support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles and Visionquest, and instantly shot to Beatport’s top 20 for Tech House. The anthem could be heard all summer on the worlds most iconic dance floors, including Ushuaia (Ibiza), DC10 (Ibiza) and Space (Ibiza). Not bad for your first EP. Similarly, their petFood EP in November 2011 was very well received, and shot straight to the top of the Beatport charts.

Above all, the boys quick rise through the ranks of the UK’s house music scene is probably down to the unique atmosphere they build in their technically accomplished DJ sets. These skills have seen them booked alongside some of the biggest names in the industry in recent months, including gigs with Nick Curly, Lee Foss, MANIK, Subb-an, Jordan Peak and Russ Yallop, in venues up and down the UK and across Europe.
