http://www.youngmindsmusic.com
The concept of the Young Minds originates from Singer/Guitarist Ryan Wards' frustration and disillusion of the new music scene through the mass production of ‘lovey dovey’ Indie bands, who, over the past three or four years haven’t really had anything good to say.
Issues within the media and political scene have also influenced many of Ryan’s songs and lyrics as well as his passion for life, which inspire the “Young Minds” sound today.
For Brothers Kieran and Ryan after struggling for numerous years in bands who didn't take playing music very seriously, they are now in a band that has a passion and a hunger to play live music, with songs that will inspire a generation to listen about the truth of everyday life, to take action and to love life.

The vocals are dark, the music is, refreshingly, not. The perfect combination of a band that take themselves seriously enough to produce sharp and credible songs but haven’t forgotten what it is to enjoy music; they have a lust for life that is both uplifting and infectious. They epitomise Manchester’s love of music and with an EP out in the new year and a planned UK tour, expect to hear much more from them in 2012. - Katy Moulton - Stiletto Magazine - http://issuu.com/stiletto_magazine/docs/november_issue
...lyrically splattered with a rather enjoyable kind of bitterness and cynicism. - Cath Aubergine - www.manchestermusic.co.uk
Outstanding! - Lucy Whitehead - www.manchesterradioonline.com
Highlights of the festival included "Loaded Message" who's songs really lived up to the band's name. They teamed fantastic musical ability with great lyricisim; my personal favourite being "I'd rather be a dreamer than have no dreams." - www.celticcalifornian.blogspot.com
...ON STB
http://www.stbband.com/
STB was formed in Bolton, England, in late 2010. The band began as a pastime for a few bored musicians, but with the success of their debut single 'Could You Be Mine?', and the crowd-pleasing 'Tulisa', they turned a schoolboy hobby into a powerhouse of the new generation of North-West Rock.
Combining an eclectic mix of rock, indie and blues, STB is a phenomenon that will churn out both rapturous blues improvs and roaring car rock anthems. With all five members of the band coming from contrasting musical backgrounds, STB is sure to blow you away, and their unique style regularly attracts sell-out crowds to their now infamous gigs. They have a lust for breathtaking shows, previously supporting top bands such as Our Fold and Singing At Manuel, and performing at prestigious venues such as Manchester Club Academy and Kiko Club Bolton.
