The collaboration melds the musical talents of the lyricists from Manchester hip hop collective The Natural Curriculum with former members of The Mind On Fire Band. Support comes from new local hip hop group Mothership Connection and Yorkshire’s sharpest lyricist Krankit.Dayse & Aver

Dayse & Aver is a side project from the mighty Natural Curriculum collective, breathing new life into hip hop by rejecting mainstream clichés and addressing the roots of society’s ills through an arsenal of articulate rhythms. As preachers of reason, they ooze with social astuteness through crisp, relentless wordplay and are backed by Omas’s scene-setting moody beats touching on a range of styles from jazz to hip hop.

For this show they’ll be backed by a full live band featuring former members of The Mind On Fire Band.Mothership Connection

Not content with having a singing voice to rival the best, Holly Crank (aka Krankit) picked up MCing in 2005 and has already recorded tracks displaying the sort of rapid-fire lyrical sharpness that leaves many trailing behind her. For this performance she’ll play an acoustic set.

She has an album due in the summer via Sinoptic Music, home of Luna C and ExP.
