Grey Lantern are delighted to announce the return to Manchester of Heart-Ships, the Leeds-based six-piece making their second outing for us off the back of a 2011 that saw the beginnings of a voyage that looks set to blossom into something very special indeed in 2012. With support from the NME, Drowned In Sound and the BBC ringing in their ears, the group are embarking into the studio with James Kenosha (Pulled Apart By Horses/Grammatics/Dry The River) to record their debut EP. Live they're a bristling, rugged proposition balanced with a delicate emotional inner fragility - one of our favourite unsigned bands in the country for sure.

They'll be joined by Douga, the evocative solo project of Jonathan Winbolt-Lewis. Stepping out from behind the drumkit of Manchester's righteous kraut-inspired instrumentalists Plank!, Winbolt-Lewis surprises with his disarmingly pure vocal style, soaring about the shimmering pop creations that make up his debut EP 'Shadows And Aberrations' - it's a pleasure to have him on a Grey Lantern bill for the first time.
