MARITIME SENGLEA FESTIVAL 2012 - Diversity of Cultural Expressions

The Senglea Local Council is pleased to present the MARITIME SENGLEA ANNUAL FESTIVAL - Diversity of cultural Expressions, a celebration of authentic traditional culture. The MARITIME SENGLEA ANNUAL FESTIVAL brings people together to honour the diversity of cultural expressions and traditions.

Artists, craftspeople, dancers, musicians, performers and chefs - provide the framework for the MARITIME SENGLEA ANNUAL FESTIVAL. They teach us about techniques, styles, tools and materilas used in their respective art forms, many of which are centuries old. Foreigners contribute to the festival experience by presenting artistic styles that may not be indigenous to Senglea and so enchance the overall celebrations. By preserving their cultural traditions in their community, participants at the MARITIME SENGLEA ANNUAL FESTIVAL make a great contribution to our sens of place and our shared understanding through diversity of cultural expressions.

We invite you to enjoy the sights, sounds and flavours of the MARITIME SENGLEA ANNUAL FESTIVAL, now in it's fourth edition, in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding - the rich diverse cultures that contribute to the cultural depth and breath of the baroque and maritime city of Senglea.
