TRAVEL WITH US through time portals that highlight the rich and fascinating history of African-Americans; from our ancestors gruesome slave ship voyage to America, through the under-ground rail road escape to freedom, to the Jim Crow South, the Civil Rights and Black Power movements, and to our first Black President in the White House. This event SHOWCASES struggles, sacrifices, survival, and triumph of our ancestors. The LEGACY they left for us to carry on is made into a REALITY FOR ALL TO FEEL. This commemoration of Black History ENCOMPASSES many genres of the PERFORMING ARTS from African culture to Pop culture. The production includes various dance styles, music, poetry, song and more. ADMISSION: AN OPEN MIND, A THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE, AND A SPIRIT OF WILLINGNESS!!!
