private view thursday the 23rd of february 6-9pmAndrew Sunderland utilises everyday objects and images, exploring their perceived value and associated meaning to realise their potential. Often creating open ended continual projects, for his exhibition at Shift he has created a number of works that attempt to attach a permenancy to otherwise ephemeral, quotidian materials.

The exhibition like the work appears in a state of suspense; both finished and not, to be continued beyond the exhibition and the gallery walls. Each work suggesting a past and future that is different to its present state. Sunderland has used the gallery as a site of creation rather than simply a tool for display. Each component of the exhibition suggesting various modes of production and display working in parallel with one another.gallery is viewable by invitation and appointment only between the dates 24/2-8/3.
