'Voice 4 Somalia' is a Somali led, Somali created initiative with 100% Somali membership; formed in direct response to the upcoming London-Somali Conference on the 23rd of February at Lancaster house. (www.fco.gov.uk/en/news/somalia-conference/)

This protest is held with the intention to raise awareness of the issues that affect our nation, our people and to safeguard Somali interests.

By carrying out this demonstration, we will be providing a much needed voice 4 Somalia.

*SO WHAT DO WE WANT?*

- No colonization of Somalia

- No further military intervention

- Mahiga out of Somalia

- Egad out of Somalia

- Ethiopian troops out of Somalia

- No more criminalisation of the Somali youth

- No toxic dumping in our waters

- No corrupt leaders

- No trusteeship of Somalia

*HOW CAN YOU HELP?*

You can help by joining us on the 23rd of February between 8:30am and 4:00pm.

We are hoping for at least 10,000 people to join us on the day to show the world that we, the Somali people, EXIST!

That we understand; that we are aware of what is going on and that we are vocal. That we WILL NOT, sit back in silence.

Throughout the day, we promise to keep you entertained!

We have an array of acts all confirmed to perform on the day, both in English and in Somali.

Whether it is poetry, rap, Somali gabbay, dhaanto or inspiring speeches you are looking for, WE'VE GOT IT ALL!
