Rumi's Kitchen: Volunteer Training Session!

Come along to our first training session for Rumi's Kitchen, Ulfa Aid's new project to help the homeless and other disadvantaged sections of our community!

Everyone interested in helping out with the first ever Rumi's Kitchen event (scheduled for Sunday, March 4th) is welcome to attend.

We will be covering:
- The proper etiquette of dealing with the poor and homeless according to Islamic principles (provided by Shaykh Babikir)
- Health and safety: ensuring we create a safe environment for all our volunteers & guests
- The programme for the event, including allocating volunteer roles & teams (so we all know what we're doing!)
- Any questions or suggestions you may have.

Rumi's Kitchen is Ulfa Aid's exciting new initiative aimed at providing support to the homeless and other vulnerable or isolated members of our community.

We are organising monthly gatherings in Cricklewood Mosque, offering free food, good company and entertainment in a relaxed and restful environment. We are working in close partnership with Cricklewood Homeless Concern and other local charities, who will provide access to a range of support services for the homeless.

- Feed the hungry
- Provide access to support services and advice to the homeless
- Help individuals realise their potential and talents
- Combat isolation and strengthen community ties
