-Nimmo and the Gauntletts
Having received support from Strummerville and Don Letts on 6Music, and been mentored by Emmy the Great, Nimmo and the Gauntletts capture the essence of a youthful, energetic, emerging band.
Exhibiting a diverse range of influences notably The Strokes, Arcade Fire, The Shangri Las, Neil Young and Fleetwood Mac, tonight we celebrate the release of their EP Young Light, on Town House Records in January.
Nimmo & the Gauntletts was formed by childhood friends Sarah Nimmo and Reva Gauntlett at Hampstead School in Kilburn, North London around the close of the 20th Century. Originally an acoustic 2 piece, Sarah and Reva with the recent addition of Josh [who they also met at the same high school], Hannah and Jack are now a fully-fledged line up based between London and Brighton. ‘
Sarah says 'I hope Young Light is not only a statement of where we are now but also an indication of where we could go, we learnt a lot from the recording process and working with producer Ian Grimble'.

-RAFAELI & THE REAL
Having got his start playing psychedelic folk guitar as part of Scotland’s Fence Collective, JS Rafaeli formed the cult anti-folk noiseniks Go Rimbaud, and twee, sugar-pop darlings The Bicycle Thieves, before spending a while playing guitar for The Aliens (EMI), made of ex-members of The Beta Band.
Now, after a break writing books, JS has teamed up with the extraordinary talents of Matt Barnes, Emily Kraemer, Laurie McNamee, and Lambros Zannettos to create an all-new band.
The sound could be described as indie-gospel: at times uplifting, euphoric, poetic, and catchy as hell - this band has something special. Some reference points might be Pavement, Nick Cave, The Staple Singers, Arcade Fire, The Velvet Underground, and Otis Redding.
Don’t you want something Real?

-Rebecca Jade
Rebecca Jade is a Welsh guitarist and singer of self-penned songs, based in London. Somewhere between the raw catharsis of Patti Smith and the melodic pop of David Bowie, with added 3-part vocal harmonies courtesy of bassist OC and drummer Jeremy Radway, and a touch of psych/prog thanks to early immersion in the music in childhood. Debut album The Distaff Muse is out this year, the result of 10 days recording and mixing in a haunted barn in Sussex with producer Dave Lynch.
