Igor's past events
"Piccadilly"
Described by Martin Scorsese as “one of the truly great films of the silent era”.
The sold out screening of this film with my music accompaniment was organised by The Brockley Jack Film Club in London 4th December 2010.

Review of the evening:
We had a sumptuous, sizzling night of music and cocktails at the screening of the fabulous Piccadilly. Igor worked magic with his accordion and managed to interpret every nuance of the film, at times it almost felt like dialogue. Despite the freezing conditions outside, a number of brave audience members sported glamorous 1920s style clothes which complimented the candlelit ballroom of the Ivy House. Our only regret is that we couldn’t have accommodated more of you. We’d love to do something similar next year and will keep you posted.

“The General”
Igor have played an improvised score for a silent film “The General” (Director: Clyde Bruckman , Buster Keaton) at the Cristal Palace Pictures 14th April 2011 .

Organizer’s comment:
“Last night’s double bill of Laurel and Hardy and The General was quite simply one of the best film experiences I have enjoyed. Not just during the two years of Crystal Palace Pictures, but ever!”
Aside from two truly great films – true genius at work in both cases – the night was made by the musical talents of Igor Outkine whose accordion helped bring Buster Keaton to life. We have definitely found a regular feature for future seasons) Mark, organizer
Igor have also played for a silent short films triple bill of
“The Champion” (Charlie Chaplin) - 33 minutes, “The Boat” (Buster Keaton) - 20 mins & Two “Tars” Laurel & Hardy) - 21 mins
It was done at the Hither Green Hall Cinema.
