London2Paris Cycle 2012

Firstly what are we doing?

On the 11th of July 2012 Sophie MacLachlan, Eimhear Montague, Susie Whitby and Hannah Poltawski will embark on a 300 mile cycle commencing in London. 4 gruelling days later we will arrive at the Eiffel Tower in Paris… Fingers crossed!

Secondly why are we doing this?

In summer 2006, Sophie’s sister Cat underwent an incredible, life saving heart transplant at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. Without their amazing expertise and committed staff, coupled with the tremendous generosity of a grieving family; Cat wouldn’t be have been able to make such a remarkable recovery. The same goes for the thousands of other children with complex, life threatening illnesses the hospital treats each year. But their facilities are in desperate need of an upgrade; a cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) is essential to support the enormous advances made in this field.
