On the 25th February 2012 people across the country will be taking part in World Food Night. It's a chance to get together, have a party, try different foods from around the world and raise money and awareness for refugees in the UK!!

I am helping Charlotte Buckley to organise a fundraiser at Elevator Studios. We want to raise awareness about refugees and the work that is done for them by Refugee Action. Food and Liverpool's finest live musicians will be on hand to entertain through the evening....

Elevator Studios is kindly loaning us their fabulous venue for the evening, an amazing grade 2 listed building on Parliament Street which will be the perfect showcase for our very special guests The Blues Division who will be performing for us on the night!

Refugee Action has has much of its government funding cut and we are trying to help raise money to keep the organisation going. Refugee Action provide essential services to asylum seekers which are not funded through legal aid.They help refugees integrate into local communities as well as campaigning for refugee rights.

In order to make the night really special please forward this to as many people as you can. If anyone would like to help please contact either me or Charlotte we are looking for people to donate food and we are also hoping for a second band to volunteer to play.
