Come join us for a free lunch at 12 PM, Thursday, December 8 out on the Capitol Building steps in Little Rock and help us drum up support for the first ever national mercury protections!

In mid-December the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be unveiling national safeguards to protect us from toxic mercury spewed out of power plants. We will have a few brief remarks from speakers in support of this historic step forward. Power plant pollution is the number one human cause of mercury that accumulates in the fish we eat, creating advisories against eating fish. Mercury is a poison that especially affects pregnant women, infants and children.

If you want to have a safe supply of mercury-free fish, then come help us support these new protections on your lunch break. Hope to see you there! Bring your drum to drum up support for a clean environment.
