24.02.12After packing out the Sophbeck's Basement last month ArtfulDivision are back once again. Artful residents Jon Brooks, Cecil and Dennison are on hand, taking over the basement and playing some Artful approved deep stuff till the early hours.
Midlands based label Artfuldivision started out as an idea in late 2011, a vision created by three friends, Jon, Will (Jon Brooks) and Tom (Cecil). It soon captured the imagination of friends who shared the same ideas, influences and tastes, and the AD family grew.
With a sound deeply rooted in house, taking influences from Detroit, Chicago, and garage. Artfuldivision was a way to extend their vision, a creative outlet to spread their sound, known and unknown. Wanting to forge an identity for themselves as a label synonymous with the deeper side of house.
