After a great first event, the next Push jazzdance session in Leeds is back on the last Sunday afternoon in Febuary (26th) starting at 2pm and running until 8pm (with a soul/funk afterparty at another venue). Venue is once again the fantastic Hope House Gallery, the small but intimate room with wooden dancefloor and old school analogue soundsystem built purely for playing vinyl records.

£3 admission is to cover the rent in this cool and comfortable venue/art space. Refreshments are available and kids are welcome.

Music policy is a mix of heavy jazz fusion, afro-cuban grooves, hard bop, Brasilian beats plus a touch of jazz-funk/boogie.....keeping alive the sounds and styles of the classic UK jazzdance culture. DJs will once again be Killer Jim & Daddio from the Out To Lunch sessions in Nottingham, plus the Leeds crew Gip & Lubi from the legendary DIG! Family (more guests tbc)......let's dedicate this session to the original Leeds jazzdance daddy Dovel Morton who sadly passed away early January...r.i.p. Dovel

Anyone travelling to Leeds for the day seeking more quality music, or even if you're from Leeds, if you fancy carrying on, DJ Lubi's Sunday Sermon session at Musiquarium in Kirkstall, Leeds, has soul/funk band Brothers On The Slide live between 8pm and midnight. Plus Lubi on the decks playing some deep soul, jazz-funk and boogie on vinyl......
