This 8th and 9th September is No/Gloss Film Festival, Leeds first ever DIY film fest. It's a 2 day event that aims to showcase up and coming independent film-makers who produce work with a DIY attitude and with almost little or no budget. It is not the kind of film festival with red carpets, snooty film critics and clique-y attendees.
The film fest will be held at an amazing Victorian former pie factory called Wharf Chambers, 23-25 Wharf Street, LS2 7EQ on the 8th and 9th of September 2012. Its on the edge of The Calls near the back of the Corn Exchange.
UPDATES:
We are very proud to announce that there will be LIVE street art by CBLOXX and 4 other super amazing local artists. 5 original canvas pieces will be painted live on easels at the launch of NO/GLOSS Film Festival.
Fictions of Every Kind at No Gloss Film Festival
Leeds’ based DIY publishing distro Fictions of Every Kind will be showcasing their zines and books on the 2nd day of our Film Festival on Sunday 9th September 2012.
Loosely Bound Zine Collective will have a zine stall at No Gloss Film Festival on the 2nd day. Featuring over 20 zine titles to feast your eyes on.

No/Gloss aims to celebrate unconventional film-making by local and international independant film-makers. We want to showcase films that have been created with little or no budget, films that challenge the standards that define good film-making whatever that is. Art that is not compromised by big names, big brands or big budgets. Here is raw talent, creators with a can-do attitude and DIY approach to their work.
This 2 day festival will showcase a great selection of films from talented indie film-makers all over the world. Expect a wonderful weekend brimming with vibrant colours and sounds from beautiful films, animations, comedy, documentaries, music videos and so much more!
