HEADLINE EVENTS:
- Every Building Tells a Story, Every Story Collapses Eventually
devised and performed by Luke Fairbotham, Andrew Roberts and Dani Mosimann
A devised performance created around themes and issues in architecture, construction and identity. An investigation in to how we live our lives and create our social worlds in relation to our environments. This performance mixes comedy, inventive visual techniques with surprisingly moving and poignant moments. Shedding an interesting light on a potentially mundane subject area.
- Christie in Love
by Howard Brenton
Presented by Monkeyheads
‘John Reginald Halliday Christie was born in Halifax, April 1898. He hated his mother, his father and his sisters. His childhood was normal.’
John Christie was one of this countries most infamous serial killers, hiding the corpses of his victims around his rented property in London.
Using both realism and absurdism ‘Christie in Love’ plays with our revulsion to characters like Christie but also our fascination in why and how they have done the deed. This play offers an audience the chance to observe true evil at work. Or is he just another misguided man in love?
‘Love, love. Reggie knows his mind about love… S’all bunk.’
- Plots
Written and directed by Michael Heap
An epic and mystical fantasy story.
Watched over by Moon, Dylan is digging in the outlands whilst Ellie sits with her legs swinging in the pit Dylan has dug, occasionally kicking him. They find the artefact they have been searching for and decide to take it The Watchgoose, their local pub, to see if Aba and Cal are interested in buying it. After a brief run in with the landlord, Blot, the pair settles in the corner, awaiting the arrival of their moneymen. Aba and Cal seem not only uninterested in the necklace but downright worried by it, so worried in fact that they flee the pub and leave their money behind. But what powers does the necklace hold and who will they meet on there journey?
