Yes, you heard right!

The greatest Cuban dance band in the world today, Los Van Van, land in Leeds for the first time direct from Havana on Friday 2nd March 2012.

With a career spanning 43 years, no wonder they are nicknamed "the Rolling Stones of Cuban music" Still led by original founder member and bassist Juan Formell, since 1969 they have produced some of the most influential Latin music of all time, often introducing new rhythms and styles that have set dance floors on fire across the world!

Having won a Latin Grammy award for the album "Van Van is Here" (Llegó Van Van) in 2000, Los Van Van are no strangers to playing crowds in their tens of thousands, especially across Latin America where they headline stadiums!

Red Eagle Events are thrilled that for the first time in 8 years, people outside London will have the opportunity to see the 20 piece band perform some of their greatest Cuban salsa anthems live and for one night only, Leeds will become downtown Havana!!

Without a doubt, Los Van Van live in Leeds is one of the biggest Cuban/Salsa/Latin music concerts to take place outside of London and we will be continuing the celebrations with a HUGE Cuban Salsa After-party at the venue hosted by Leeds' original Salsa/Cuban music pioneer and international Latin music DJ Lubi Jovanovic (Nascente Records/Calle Ocho), plus special guest DJs.

This will be a sell-out event drawing people from across the whole of the Midlands, the North, Scotland and beyond, and even though it is next spring, do get your tickets as soon as possible, once they're gone, that's it!
